Mission Statement for Developing Communities Inc
We believe that all people regardless of nationality, race, or economic position deserve access to the basic building blocks of a sustainable life.
We believe that education, economic opportunity, social equity, and environmental sensitivity are necessary to create the foundation for a thriving community.
Our mission is to work with like minded individuals and organizations in Nicaragua to help the people to improve their economic situation, in both their community and their personal lives.

Developing Communities, Inc. is a grassroots service organization focusing on improving the lives of the residents of Empalme de Boaco, Nicaragua and surrounding communities. Based in St. Helena, California, Developing Communities is a coalition of volunteers partnering with the residents of Empalme de Boaco in a effort to help the community towards a better future. Towards this goal, the organization has funded investments in community housing, educational scholarships, schools, recreational programs, and job building enterprises.
The team’s efforts in Empalme de Boaco date back nearly 10 years, all accomplished with countless hours of volunteer labor and donated funds.

In February, we had a very special project, this project was a surprise to a person who we want and we greatly appreciate, the project was "building a new home" our grandmother "Mrs. Canda"
